A clearer view of every opportunity.
Orbit is a fictional multi-tenant CRM for small sales teams: leads, contacts, companies, deals, pipelines, tasks and forecasts, with an assistant that only reads what you are allowed to see.
The demo is the whole product, in your browser.
Leads, contacts and companies, a drag-and-drop pipeline, tasks, one timeline per record that says how each entry was recorded, analytics that explain every figure, and a copilot that cites a record for every fact. The data is fictional and stays in your browser; the copilot runs on offline rules, not an AI model. A live deployment runs the same screens on PostgreSQL with row-level security.
What the foundation guarantees
Each line is enforced in the database or the server and covered by tests against a real PostgreSQL.
- Tenancy
- Every record carries its workspace in its key, and every reference is checked against it. Another workspace's id is just a number that matches nothing.
- Authority
- Who you are comes from your session, in the database. A workspace id from the browser is never proof of anything; row-level security decides what each person sees.
- Pipeline
- Moving a deal states the version you saw. If someone changed it first, nothing moves and you see the newer deal: no silent overwrite, no lost update.
- Money
- Amounts are whole minor units with an explicit currency. Different currencies are reported side by side, never quietly added together.
- Activity
- A logged email is labelled as logged. Orbit says something was sent only when a mail provider confirms it, and none is connected yet.
- Assistant
- The copilot reads only what you may read, cites the record behind every fact, keeps its interpretation separate, and never acts without your approval.
The plan
Seven milestones. Each ends tested and documented before the next begins.
Milestone A: Foundation(done)
Multi-tenant schema, permissions, pipeline rules, domain model, design system and tests.
Milestone B: Workspace and records(done)
Sign-in, workspace switching, invitations; companies, contacts and leads with search and filters; an interactive demo in the browser.
Milestone C: Pipeline board(done)
Deals on a keyboard-accessible board: drag and drop, optimistic moves with server reconciliation, won and lost.
Milestone D: Work and timeline(done)
Tasks, a sales home, notes, comments and logged activity on one honest timeline, analytics with stated definitions, and in-app reminders.
Milestone E: Copilot(done)
Briefings, stalled-deal rules and follow-up drafts from authorised records, with a source for every fact and explicit approval for any change.
Milestone F: Release(current)
Security review and cross-tenant attack tests, performance and accessibility audits, the public demo and its documentation.
Milestone G: Reports and hosted operations
Saved reports and forecast refinements; for a real client: email delivery, password reset, MFA, backups and monitoring.
